ECOC 2025 Live Demo
The first NESTOR-related demo presented at a major international conference – ECOC 2025 | 51st European Conference on Optical Communication in Copenhagen.
The NESTOR researcher Tiago Silvério, together with the Nokia team, showcased the demo as part of a joint effort with the project ALLEGRO EU funded by the EC and the project INTENSE, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The team demonstrated a live Point-to-Multipoint (P2MP) testbed using coherent DSCM pluggables in bidirectional transmission, highlighting how advanced modelling can optimise performance for future access and metro networks.
About the DEMO
Description: Modelling Performance in a live Testbed P2MP architecture with Coherent DSCM Pluggables in Bidirectional communication for long reach access and PON overlay.
Demo goals:
- Showcasing the models capabilities to predict reflection impact in BiDi transmission
- Showcasing a real testbed power optimization scenario on P2MP DSCM-based transmission
- Showcasing EGN’s predictive capability in assessing short-reach scenarios performance for Metro and Metro Access Networks.
