ECOC 2026 Live Demo
The second NESTOR-related demo presented at a major international conference – ECOC 2026 | 52nd European Conference on Optical Communication in Málaga.
The NESTOR researcher Mohammad Sadegh Ghasrizadeh, together with researchers from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and Nokia, showcased a live demonstration of a Telemetry-Assisted QoS-Aware Scheduler over SOA-Based Time-Slotted Optical Metro-Access Networks. The team demonstrated how real-time information on traffic queues and the priorities of 6G traffic flows can be used to inform scheduling in optical metro-access networks. By combining telemetry with quality-of-service-aware control, the demonstration showed how transmission plans can dynamically respond to changing traffic demands.
About the DEMO
Description: Demonstration of a Telemetry-Assisted QoS-Aware Scheduler over SOA-Based Time-Slotted Optical Metro-Access Networks
Demo goals:
- Showcasing how real-time telemetry on traffic queues and 6G traffic flow priorities can support scheduling in optical metro-access networks.
- Demonstrating a QoS-aware scheduler over an SOA-based time-slotted optical metro-access network.
- Showcasing how telemetry-assisted control can dynamically adapt transmission plans to changing traffic demands.
